Is there any way we could use google analytics, or something similar that is also free, to be able to see how many people are actualy coming to the site, where sites they are coming from, where they aer going on the site, and so on?

I'm working on getting that installed...it's taking some time...Daw44 11:07, 1 August 2008 (MDT)

It looks like you are having to block a lot of posters to the site. I dont imagine real people are going around posting these things, are they? Is there any kind of security checks that the wikimedia software has that we could use, so garbage is no posted on the site until someone has a chance to take it down?--Jlamro 19:39, 24 September 2008 (MDT)

I'm pretty sure there is some way to disable the new login creation, but I don't know about security other than that. If you want to look something up, that would be great. I don't have the time right now, but will look at it later. The problem is computer bots can be programmed to automatically create a login and then post something. I can block the IP address and the identity, but that's all I know how to do now. I wish there was a way to require an email verification for creating a username. I think that would solve a lot of it. Daw44 19:50, 24 September 2008 (MDT)
