If you want to help but aren't sure what to do, here are a list of things that need to be done:

  • Contribute to the Featured Article section.
    • What do you envision the "featured article section" to be like?
  • Add any Non Ph.D. Prep Track Faculty who are Friends of BYU to the list and provide a link to their website.
  • For all Past Ph.D. Prep Track Students and Non Ph.D. Prep Track Faculty who are Friends of BYU who have an external website, we don't need to recreate their webpage, instead we need to develop an attractive webpage with basic information that won't change and then link to their webpage. I think it would be great to include information such as where they graduated from, their research interests, a picture, and other basic information in addition to the link to their page.
  • On the University Information pages, it would be helpful to provide information about who has been where so people interested in a particular school know who to contact to find out more. Updating who has been where would be very helpful. It would also be helpful to provide information about the school. See for example Indiana University or University of Arizona for one way of doing this.
  • Add any Accomplishments and Successes to the list. This is a cool way of celebrating the success of all of us.
  • Help fill out Research Interests by describing a little about a research area and providing links of people who do that type of research.
  • Help answer (or post on What else do you want to see on the site?) questions about being a student or faculty member for others to learn about. This will be very helpful to those who are trying to decide whether or not to get a PhD.


These are just a few ideas. Anything else you want to see or do, please feel free!
