• Often, people perceive academia as not being very financial rewarding. When us pre-PhD students tell people our career plans, they say things to this effect. Sites like http://www.utahsright.com/salaries.php?city=u_of_u for different states would be helpful, where we can show people potential salaries of accounting professors.
  • Some discussion of this issue is posted on What is life like as an accounting professor?. I updated it to include this link. Any other similar links could be posted on that page as well.
  • I'll post this website (https://fdrs.fms.indiana.edu/cgi-bin/Salary/Salary.pl) once I can get a confirmation of whether someone not at Indiana University can access the information. Just search for "actg" under "Org:" to see if you get any faculty salary information.
