After graduating with a MAcc and Minor in Information Systems from the Marriott School of Management in 2000, I joined KPMG's Information Risk Management practice in the Silicon Valley for 2 years. I have a CPA (California - Inactive). I then attended Case Western Reserve University to complete my PhD in Management with an Emphasis in Information Systems. While there I worked on an interesting project funded by the NSF with Kalle Lyytinen, Richard Boland, and Youngjin Yoo studying the intersection of management and innovative technology (e.g., 3D CAD) within the design and construction of Frank Gehry projects.

I have been an assistant professor in the Bentley University Accountancy department since 2007. I teach Accounting Information Systems courses, but my research is varied across information systems and accounting related topics. I also have an interest in advancing the curriculum and pedagogy of accounting information systems. While my primary method of research has been qualitative, I have also engaged in more traditional quantitative approaches such as survey and archival methods. Most recently, my research has topics are enterprise risk management (archival), information security and controls (survey), and telemedicine (case-studies).

In my spare time you'll find me with my family, running, or playing basketball.
